Powergrid Recruitment Qualification
- Field Engineer (Electrical): Full-time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.) in Electrical discipline or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute with a minimum of 55% marks. Requires one year of post-qualification experience.
- Field Engineer (Civil): Full-time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.) in Civil discipline or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute with a minimum of 55% marks. Requires one year of post-qualification experience.
- Field Supervisor (Electrical): Full-time Diploma in Electrical discipline or equivalent from a recognized Technical Board/Institute with a minimum of 55% marks. Requires one year of post-qualification experience. Higher technical qualifications like B.Tech./B.E./M.Tech./M.E. etc. with or without a Diploma are not allowed.
- Field Supervisor (Civil): Full-time Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Technical Board/Institute with a minimum of 55% marks. Requires one year of post-qualification experience. Higher technical qualifications are not allowed.
- Field Supervisor (Electronics & Communication): Full-time Diploma in Electrical / Electronics & Communication / Information Technology or equivalent from a recognized Technical Board/Institute with a minimum of 55% marks. Requires one year of post-qualification experience. Higher technical qualifications are not allowed.
Powergrid Recruitment Age Limit
The age limit for applying for PGCIL Recruitment 2025 is 18-29 years. The cutoff date for the calculation of the age limit is 17 September 2025. The age relaxation will be given as per the rules.

Powergrid Recruitment Salary Details
- Field Engineer: Monthly remuneration in the pay band of Rs. 30,000-3%-1,20,000/- with an initial basic pay of Rs. 30,000/- plus Industrial DA, HRA, and Perks @35% of Basic Pay. The approximate annual CTC is Rs. 8.9 Lakhs.
- Field Supervisor: Monthly remuneration in the pay band of Rs. 23,000-3%-1,05,000/- with an initial basic pay of RS. 23,000/- plus Industrial DA, HRA, and Perks @35% of Basic Pay. The approximate annual CTC is Rs. 6.8 Lakhs.
Powergrid Recruitment Selection Process
The selection process will be based on the “POWERGRID Common FTE Written Test-2025”. The test will be of 1-hour duration and will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). There will be no negative marking.
- Technical Knowledge Test (TKT): 50 questions based on the relevant discipline syllabus (B.Tech/BE/Diploma).
- Aptitude Test (AT): 25 questions covering General English, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness.
- For Field Engineer posts: Candidates who qualify in the Written Test will be shortlisted for a Personal Interview. The final merit list will be prepared based purely on performance in the Interview.
- For Field Supervisor posts: Candidates will be selected based on the merit of marks obtained in the Written Test only. Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification.
