PGCIL Apprentice Education
To apply for the POWERGRID Apprentice Recruitment 2025, candidates must possess a full-time ITI, Diploma, Graduate, or Postgraduate qualification in the relevant trade. The qualification must have been completed within two years from the application closing date. Candidates awaiting results, already undergone apprenticeship or with more than one year of job experience are not eligible.

PGCIL Apprentice Selection Process
Selection will be transparent and merit-based. Candidates are shortlisted on academic marks. Document checks and other steps will follow.
- Merit List – prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination (ITI/Diploma/Degree/PG).
- Document Verification – shortlisted candidates in the ratio of 1:5 will be called for DV.
- Medical Fitness & Contract Agreement – selected candidates must submit medical fitness and sign tripartite contract on NATS/NAPS portal.
PGCIL Apprentice Stipend
Chosen apprentices will get a monthly stipend. The amount changes with qualification level-ITI, Diploma, or Graduate.
- ITI: Rs. 13,500/- Per Month
- Diploma (Electrical/Civil): Rs. 15,000/- (incl. DBT Rs. 4000)
- Graduate (Engineering): Rs. 17,500/- (incl. DBT Rs. 4500)
- HR, Law, CSR, Rajbhasha: Rs. 17,500/-
Additionally, HRA of Rs. 2500/- may be provided if accommodation is not available.
