The final merit list is prepared by normalizing the marks from the Main Examination (Objective + Descriptive) and Phase III. Negative marking is applicable in both the Preliminary and Main Examinations, with a deduction of 1/4th mark for each incorrect answer. Results for each phase will be announced on the official SBI website, and the entire process ensures transparency and fairness in selecting the most qualified candidates for the Probationary Officer position.

Final Selection

  • The Preliminary Examination is qualifying in nature, and its marks will not be considered for the final merit list.
  • The final merit list will be prepared based on the aggregate marks obtained in the Main Examination.
  • Provisional selection will depend on document verification and qualifying in Personality Test (where applicable).
