JRBT MTS Syllabus 2025: The Joint Recruitment Board of Tripura conducts recruitment for the Multi Tasking Staff positions under Group D in various departments of the Tripura government. This initiative aims to fill essential support roles across the state.

JRBT MTS Overview

  • Position: Multi Tasking Staff (Group D)
  • Educational Qualification:
    • General Category: Minimum Class VIII pass from a recognized school.
    • SC/ST/PH Candidates: Minimum Class V pass from a recognized school.
  • Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of Bengali or Kokborok languages.
  • Age Limit: 18 to 41 years. Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/PWD candidates. An additional 1-year relaxation.
  • Selection Process:
    • Written Examination: 85 marks, covering English, General Studies, and Current Affairs.
    • Interview: 15 marks, assessing personal qualities and language proficiency.
  • Salary: Rs. 13,000/- Per Month

The exam is of 85 total marks, and it consists of OMR/MCQ-type questions divided into three major sections:

English & General Studies (Class-V standard) – 30 Marks

i) Language Knowledge (Bengali/Kokborok):

  • Vocabulary – Common words and their meanings.
  • Comprehension – Understanding short passages and answering questions based on them.
  • Translation – Basic translation between Bengali/Kokborok and English.

ii) Arithmetic:

  • Addition
  • Subtraction
  • Multiplication
  • Division
  • Word Problems – Simple real-life problem-solving using the above operations.

Knowledge of English – 20 Marks

  • Parts of Speech – Noun, Verb, Adjective, etc.
  • Gender – Masculine, Feminine, Neuter, and Common genders.
  • Article – Use of “a,” “an,” and “the.”
  • Tense – Past, Present, and Future with examples.
  • Use of ‘Since’ and ‘For’ – Understanding time expressions.
  • Punctuation – Proper use of full stops, commas, question marks, etc.
  • Framing of ‘Wh’ Questions – Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How.
  • Basic Concept of Sentence – Identifying subject and predicate.
  • Synonyms & Antonyms – Words with similar and opposite meanings.

General Knowledge & Current Affairs – 35 Marks

(i) General Awareness – 20 Marks

  • Questions related to common experience.
  • Important current events and problems.
  • Focus on both India and Tripura.

(ii) Government Duties – 15 Marks

  • Duties of the Gr-D Post – Understanding roles in government departments/offices.
  • Geography of Tripura – Names of Sub-Divisions, Districts, and Blocks.
