Indian Army Sports Recruitment Post Details
The Indian Army Sports Quota Recruitment 2025 has defined clear and distinct eligibility criteria for the posts of Havildar and Naib Subedar. Applicants must meet requirements related to age, educational qualification and sports achievements.
Education: 10th pass (Matriculation) from a recognized board.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 17½ years
- Maximum Age: 25 years
- DOB Range: 31 Mar 2001 and 01 Apr 2008 (both inclusive)
Sports Achievement
The sports achievement criteria differ for the two posts.
- Direct Entry Havildar:
Medalist at Junior/Senior level representing State in National Championship.Represented Country at International level (Individual event).Represented State or Country in National or International competitions (Team event).Medalist in Khelo India Games, Khelo India Youth Games, or Khelo India University Games. - Direct Entry Naib Subedar: Winner of any medal in World Championship/Asian Championships/Asian Games/CWG/World Cup.Represented India twice in Asian Games/Commonwealth Games/World Cup.Represented India in Olympics.

Indian Army Recruitment Selection Process
The selection procedure is multi-stage and rigorous, designed to pick the best sporting talent.

- Call-up Letter: Eligible shortlisted candidates will receive call letters via email for selection trials.
- Selection Trials: Candidates will undergo:
- Physical Fitness Test: 1.6 Km run, 9 Feet Ditch, Zig-Zag Balance (for Men); 1.6 Km run, 10 Feet Long Jump, 3 Feet High Jump (for Women).
- Skill Test: In their specific sports discipline.
- Medical Examination: Conducted by an Army Medical Team at the trial site.
- Final Selection: A merit list is prepared from candidates who qualify in all respects, depending on available vacancies in particular sports disciplines.
