IFSCA Recruitment Eligibility Criteria
The detailed eligibility criteria will be provided in the official notification, but based on previous IFSCA recruitments, the expected criteria are: To apply for these prestigious positions, candidates must strictly meet the following educational and age criteria as of 25th September 2025.
Educational Qualification:
- General Stream: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline OR MBA (Finance) OR Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science/ Masters in Computers Application/ Information Technology OR Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and CA/CFA/CS/ICWA OR Bachelor’s Degree in Law.
- Legal Stream: Bachelor’s Degree in Law.
- Information Technology (IT) Stream: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science/ Masters in Computers Application/ Information Technology.
- Minimum Marks: A candidate must have secured at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade) in their qualifying degree. A 5% relaxation is allowed for SC/ST categories.
IFSCA Recruitment Age Limit
The maximum age limit is 30 years as of 25th September 2025.
Age Relaxation is applicable as per government norms:
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): +3 years
- SC/ST: +5 years
- PwBD: +10 years
- Ex-Servicemen: +5 years
- Cumulative relaxation is available for candidates belonging to more than one category.
IFSCA Recruitment Salary
The pay scale of Officers in Grade ‘A’ is Rs. 62500-3600(4)-76900-4050(7)-105250-EB4050(4)121450-4650(1)-126100 (17 years) Presently, the approximate gross pay and allowances including IFSCA’s contribution towards National Pension System (NPS), Grade Allowance, Special Allowance, Special Grade Allowance,
Dearness Allowance, Local Allowance, Family Allowance, Special Compensatory Allowance,
Learning Allowance and Housing Allowance, etc. at the minimum of scale is approx. Rs.1,80,000/-
per month.
Selection Process for IFSCA Recruitment
The selection of candidates will be a rigorous three-stage process designed to assess both knowledge and skills.
- Phase III: This is the final stage and consists of a personal interview. For the IT stream, a qualifying Coding Test will be conducted after Phase II, and only those who clear it will be eligible for the interview.
- Phase I: This is an online screening examination consisting of two papers (Multiple Choice Questions). Candidates must secure separate cut-off marks in each paper and an aggregate cut-off to be shortlisted for Phase II.
- Phase II: This is also an online examination with two papers. Paper 1 is a descriptive English test common to all streams. Paper 2 consists of MCQs based on the candidate’s chosen stream (General, Legal, or IT).
