IAF Apprentice Recruitment Eligibility
The educational qualifications required for various trades in the Indian Air Force – IAF Apprentice Recruitment 2025 are summarized in the table below.
A. Educational Qualification:
- Essential: Passed 10th standard and ITI – NCVT in the relevant trade with a minimum of 40% aggregate marks.
- Desirable: Candidates who have also passed 12th standard with 50% marks will be given priority.
B. Age Limit (as on 09.02.2026):
- General / OBC / SC / ST Candidates: 17 to 35 Years.
- Age relaxation will be as per the Apprenticeship Act, 1961, and Rules 1992.
C. Medical Standards:
- Height: Minimum 152 cm.
- Weight: Minimum 48 Kg.
- Hearing: Normal; must hear forced whisper from 6 meters.
- Dental: Healthy gums, good teeth, minimum 14 dental points.
- General Health: Physically and mentally fit, free from chronic ailments.
- A valid medical certificate from a Gazetted Medical Officer is required during selection.

IAF Apprentice Selection Process 2025
The selection of apprentices will be based purely on merit through the following stages:
- Written Examination (AATWT): Scheduled for January 18, 2026.
- Interview: For candidates who qualify in the written test, scheduled for January 19, 2026.
- Document Verification: Verification of original certificates.
- Medical Verification: Scrutiny of the medical fitness certificate.
- Final Merit List: Declaration of the final merit list based on aggregate marks. The list will be published on January 23, 2026.
IAF Apprentice Stipend 2025
Selected candidates will undergo apprenticeship training and will be paid a monthly stipend of Rs. 10,500/- throughout the duration of the training course.
- Training Start Date: 9th February 2026
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the selection process.

- Register/Login: If a new user, register on the portal. Existing users can log in.
- Find Advertisement: Search for the Indian Air Force (Base Repair Depot, Chandigarh) apprenticeship notification.
- Fill Application: Complete the online application form with all required details.
