CGST Recruitment Qualification
Tax Assistant: Candidates must possess a Degree from a recognized University or equivalent. They should also have basic knowledge of computer applications and a data entry speed of not less than 8000 Key Depressions per hour.
Havaldar: Candidates must have passed Matriculation or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board.
Other Criteria for Havaldar Post: Candidates will be required to possess the specified physical standards and pass the physical tests.
Sports Eligibility: Meritorious sportspersons who have represented the country, state, university, or school in any of the 65 listed sports disciplines during the calendar years 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 are eligible to apply. The preference will be given in the order of international participation, followed by national (medal winners), university (medal winners), etc.
Age Limit:
- The candidate must be between 18 and 27 years of age as on 13 September 2025.
Age Relaxation: Relaxation up to a maximum of 5 years (10 years for SC/ST candidates) shall be allowed for meritorious sportspersons.
CGST Recruitment Selection Process
The selection process will involve the following stages:
- Scrutiny of Applications: Applications will be scrutinized, and suitable candidates will be shortlisted.
- Field Trials: Shortlisted candidates will be called for field trials to assess their fitness and performance in the relevant sports discipline.
- Skill/Physical Test: Candidates who have opted for Tax Assistant will undergo a Data Entry Speed Test. Candidates who have opted for Havaldar will undergo an examination of Physical Standards & a Physical Efficiency Test.
