Pay Scale: Selected candidates will draw a starting basic pay of ₹24,250 per month. The approximate initial monthly Gross Emoluments (without HRA) will be approximately ₹46,029.
Educational Qualification: As of 1 January 2026, a candidate should have passed the 10th Standard (S.S.C./Matriculation) from the concerned State/UT coming under the Regional Jurisdiction of the Recruiting Office to which he/she is applying. The qualification must be from a recognized Board of that State/UT.
Important Eligibility Note: The candidate should be an undergraduate as on 1 January 2026. Graduates and candidates possessing higher qualifications are not eligible to apply.
Language Proficiency: Candidates applying to a recruiting office should be proficient in the language (i.e., know how to read, write, speak, and understand the language) of the State/UT falling under that office.
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 25 years of age as on 1 January 2026. This means candidates must have been born not earlier than 2 January 2001 and not later than 1 January 2008 (both days inclusive).
Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST candidates (up to 30 years), by 3 years for OBC candidates (up to 28 years), and by 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) (GEN/EWS). Additional relaxations apply for Ex-Servicemen and widows/divorced women as per government rules.

RBI OA Recruitment Selection Process
The selection process for the post of Office Attendant consists of two stages:
Online Test
A competitive examination consisting of Reasoning, General English, General Awareness, and Numerical Ability. It comprises 120 questions for 120 marks with a composite time of 90 minutes. There will be negative marking of 1/4th mark for each wrong answer.
Language Proficiency Test (LPT)
Candidates provisionally shortlisted from the online test will undergo an LPT. The LPT is of qualifying nature and will be conducted in the Official/Local Language of the State concerned. Candidates not proficient in the local language will be disqualified.
